Kal co-founded and led several biotechnology companies. He is a member of the board of directors of Advance International, Inc., Koya Medical, Inc., and Tenon Technologies, AG. Kal acted as an advisor for mergers and acquisitions with Warburg Pincus and has participated in over $2B in acquisitions and IPOs. Kal invented and brought to market key products and technologies in the healthcare/biotechnology fields.

Maximilian Bügler graduated from Maastricht University with a Bachelor of Knowledge Engineering and Computer Science and a Master of Operations Research with honors. He transferred to Technical University Munich (TUM) and received his Ph.D. on applying artificial intelligence methods on problems in the engineering domain. His current work as CTO of Altoida focuses on the prediction of Alzheimer's disease by using machine learning procedures.
